Are Hillary’s demands excessive?  What do you think?

From Townhall, Daniel Doherty:

Ever since Hillary Clinton asserted that she wasn’t “truly well off” compared to other fabulously rich one-percenters (despite her family’s personal wealth and all evidence to the contrary) she’s had her (ahem) fair share of struggles convincing ordinary Americans she occupies the same world as them. The remark is especially tone-deaf given that she reportedly asks for at least six-figures every time she delivers a paid speech.

The median household income in the United States is roughly $44,000.

But the extent of her speaking fee demands go well beyond mere dollars and cents. As The Las Vegas Review-Journal exclusively reports:

According to a May 31, 2013 email, Clinton’s standard contract usually includes:* Round-trip transportation on a chartered private jet “e.g., a Gulfstream 450 or larger jet,” plus round-trip business class travel for two advance staffers who will arrive up to three days in advance.

* Hotel accommodations selected by Clinton’s staff and including “a presidential suite for Secretary Clinton and up to three (3) adjoining or contiguous single rooms for her travel aides and up to two (2) additional single rooms for the advance staff.”

* A $500 travel stipend to cover out-of-pocket costs for Clinton’s lead travel aide.

* Meals and incidentals for Clinton, her travel aides and advance staff, as well as all phone charges.

* Final approval of all moderators or introducers.

The Review-Journal also notes that her speech at the University of Nevada’s 2012 “Foundation dinner,” in particular, underscores Hillary’s lavish demands and preferences on the speaking circuit:

In fact, the former president spoke at the 2012 UNLV Foundation dinner, taking home a $250,000 fee. His spouse will get $225,000 to speak at the annual dinner. The size of Hillary Clinton’s fee has come under fire from critics who question the large expense in an era when students are hard-pressed to cover tuition and leave school saddled with massive debt. But Clinton’s $225,000 is something of a cut-rate. Documents obtained by the newspaper show that she initially asked for $300,000 and reveal that she insists on controlling every detail of the private event, large and small, to ensure that she will be the center of attention.

“It is agreed that Speaker will be the only person on the stage during her remarks,” according to the May 13 contract the Harry Walker Agency signed for Clinton’s keynote address at the Bellagio.

According to her standard speaking contract, Clinton will remain at the event no longer than 90 minutes; will pose for no more than 50 photos with no more than 100 people; and won’t allow any press coverage or video- or audio-taping of her speech.

A six-figure fee, presidential lodgings, complete control over the logistics of the event, and media censorship were only some of Hillary Clinton’s stipulations when delivering paid remarks at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas two years ago.

Parting question: How will these revelations play with the Democratic base? Will she get a free pass since she reportedly gives all of her earnings to “charity” (i.e. her own foundation), or will she be heavily criticized for hypocrisy, greed, and self-indulgence?

My, my aren’t we the Queen?  Just what we need is another Moochie.  I guess these demands are being made because she and Bill are so broke.  😀

The Queen of The Beltway is such a buffoon, it would be a shame to embarrass her with a debate against any of the Conservative politico’s who would run against her. But it would be fun to watch if the Conservative has the cojones to rake her over the coals in the fashion she deserves.

Right, she is a buffoon and has said some of the dumbest things on her book tour. I too would love to see a conservative rip her apart during during debates. That would be a blast to watch. I guess she cry foul, war against women.

I read the same things about her, nasty as hell. Oh, now that would be something to see, Trey Gowdy tearing her a new one. I hope we get to see it. I kind of wish Gowdy were running for prez. He wouldn’t let any demorat get away with lying their butts off. He is hell on wheels. I just love watching him interrogate people. He practically has them in tears afterwards.

  5. Hi Pepper, thank you for another up lifting post, just kidding. But on the other hand, if the Dem supporters are willing to pay her fee, less money to spend against the GOP. See there is an up side to this. All kidding aside, she acts like a want a be rock star and wants the White House more than life itself. Just another control freak that can’t satisfy her carnivore appetite to feed on the sheeple.

      Hi Walt,

I see I’m going to have to put up another “uplifting” post again. LOL! I know you’re kidding.

Hey, great comment about the dems having less money. I like that one. I see there is a positive side to this.

Right, she thinks she’s a rock star like Jennifer Lopez whose demands are that her hotel room be all white, including white flowers sent to her room every morning when she’s on the road.

I just wish the woman would throw away some of those pant suits and get some skirts, blouses and dresses. What’s up with that anyway? Oh, I guess I’m being a catty woman but really????????

Her desire to live in the WH again this time with her being the grand Queen has been her ultimate desire for years and years. And she thinks it’s her right to be there too. Such hubris!

  6. Good post Pepp. Surely Hitlery doesn’t really expect us to buy she’s not well off. I’m sure her and hubby aren’t in Bill Gates deep pocket category, but what a crock for her to make that statement. I’m thinking maybe her statement was a plea to Satan Soros.?

If the Clinton family isn’t in the upper, upper 1% group, then we live in a third world nation! I’m just trying to get over the shock out what she spouted. Good Lord…

      Hi Dave,

She’s a loon to expect anyone to believe she was poor. If she was appealing to poor people she lost them. If they are among the uninformed then they probably believed her. I think Soros might be putting his money on Lizzie Warren, a person that’s even more to the left than Hillary.

I heard a left wing pundit say last night that since the Dictator was elected twice it’s obvious the country has all moved to the left. What BS! He said since Romney was so much to the right that is why he lost the race. Yeah, right. The reason he lost is because so many Evangelicals wouldn’t vote for him being a Mormon. And really was he such a right wing person? Nobody could tell from his past actions.

      • Pepp, I sure in the hell would not call Romney right wing or conservative. I believe the reason he was not elected is because he wasn’t conservative, but a moderate. You’re correct Evangelicals let us down, but too many conservatives as a whole sat at home AGAIN and helped Barry get elected again.

          Dave,

I agree. It was hard to believe Romney was a true conservative especially since he put in a state wide health insurance program in his own state. That didn’t help I think. Some of the comments he made in the past were dubious too.

But yeah a lot of people probably stayed home. That’s why we need a real conservative and I bet droves of people would come out and vote.

  7. Pepper & Dave,,,
Do you folks remember the brouhaha over John Kennedy, being Roman Catholic? Folks were terrified the Presidency would be run from the Vatican~!

There’s a lot of deeper currents here, and they’d make the infamous “Back Room Deals” seem like a kiddie conclave, I’m thinking,,, and they do NOT bode well for the U.S. of A.

Grouchy, I sure do remember the hysteria over John Kennedy being Catholic. Well it didn’t turn out that way did it? No Vatican involved.

I hate to think what is in store for us after the King leaves. I have the feeling things will only get worse, not better. I sure hope I’m wrong. I do not believe this entire country has moved to the left however, but I’m starting to think they outnumber us now

      • Hey Grouchy. I was pretty young when JFK was elected, so I don’t remember it happening but have read about it. I still see comments on Newsmax articles to this day of people saying Catholics run our country! What a crock. Our Towel Head In Chief despises Catholics or anyone that is not a worshiper of the pervert Moo-ha-mid!

If folks can’t see Muzzies are our greatest threat, they’re either blind or in on the big lie.

          • It’s not that I read recently about JFK specifically, but oh yeah I read comments on a article not a month ago some loons going off about Catholics running the country and the power bringing fourth the NWO. How’s that for a hoot???

            Dave,
Yeah, I’ve seen that conspiracy thing about the Catholic church being behind the NWO. It’s utter nonsense. It’s the bankers and certain evil ones, including the UN, the Bilderberg group, who are behind the NWO.

It figures though since there is so much hatred when it comes to Catholics. I’ve experienced it myself. I don’t really know what gets some people so fired up about Catholics. Maybe because the church still holds on to certain moral values such as no abortions. Who knows. There are loons everywhere you look who hate Catholics.

  9. It makes me sick that she just feathers her nest off what she calls public service — that’s code for the US feed trough. And this is her backup money machine. Who would pay for this and what could she say that would be worth those bucks. I know inside tips on hog futures.

Even worse she has herself believing she’s worth it. Well, at leas the book flopped, so I guess she’ll have to make it up somewhere. Why not on impressionable young people? What’s a matter with universities?

      Bull,
“I know inside tips on hog futures.” That’s hilarious. But true she feeds at the public trough to get rich. The young people already love her as i saw Water’s World on OR. They think she’s great. Shows ya how much our youth are so dumbed down and have no idea about the history of this witch. And they don’t intend to do any research either. Let’s not get facts on this. It would ruin their fantasy picture of her.
