Wicked Commentary

The State of Oklahoma is turning to nullification, as well as the courts, to contend with federal Environmental Protection Agency overreach.

State Sen. Patrick Anderson recently submitted SB1167  to the Oklahoma Legislature. This bill will render void all rules imposed by the EPA and not passed by Congress. It is absolute nullification of that agency’s rulemaking in the state of Oklahoma.

Section 1.A. of the bill, as introduced, reads,

“The Legislature declares that the rulemaking authority of the Environmental Protection Agency is not authorized by the Constitution of the United States and violates its true meaning and intent as given by the founders and ratifiers, and is hereby declared to be invalid in the State of Oklahoma, shall not be recognized by this state, is specifically rejected by this state, and shall be considered null and void and of no effect in this state.

The bill also requires the state legislature to take all steps necessary to block EPA enforcement of its rules.

All states should do the same. The EPA is completely out of control and this is one way the States can fight back.

      Mrs. Al,

Their legislature must vote on this too before it becomes law in their state, but I believe it will pass

  2. Oklahoma ROCKS~! I fully agree with Mrs AL,,,

It’s about time at least one state is using their nullification rights under the 10th Amendment. Let Holder bite on that one. I’m sure he’ll sue them. He’s got nothing to stand on.

  4. Thanks for the post Pepper. I hope Oklahoma passes this bill, maybe the rest of the red states will follow through. The ovomit’s EPA not the America’s EPA is as big of a security threat to our way of life as is Iran. They are falsifying climate change reports, attempting to control every drop of water, they are ruining the coal industry, driving up utility cost, they put an end to lead bullets, they even report cow farts are too high in methane, they report that air pollution is tied to reduction in birth rates and the latest is putting restrictions on a person’s wood stove. If ovomit can’t destroy us though illegal constitutional executive orders, then he will do it through the EPA or any other scam he can come up with.

      Hi Walt,

You are most welcome. I too hope OK passes this law. I have no idea why other states are not doing the same. These are unjust laws created by the EPA which has no authority to do what they are doing, basically shutting down our energy industry. Did you know that they are now putting regulations on wood burning. It seems that every type of energy a person tries to use as an alternative they have to put regulations on them. For bloody sake people have been using wood for ages before gas or electricity.

They are ruining the coal industry for sure and KY where I live has been hit hard. On the Western side of KY, the whole coal industry is shut down. I really don’t know what the people are using for energy. And they have put a huge surcharge of almost 14% onto my bill for using electric. I don’t know how long this can go on. WE, the people should be screaming our lungs out over this.

In KY, Rand Paul, McConnell, Andy Barr (my rep) and Thomas Massie are taking this to the SCOTUS claiming the EPA has overstepped its’ bounds. But with that traitor Roberts on the bench I don’t know what will happen.

They have become Public Enemy #2, next to Public Enemy @1, the King.
