Wicked Commentary

The Alabama State legislature is warning the federal government and other to back off on gun control legislation. On Tuesday, the Alabama State Senate passed legislation that declared “All federal acts, laws, orders, rules or regulations regarding firearms are a violation of the Second Amendment.”

The vote was 24-6 and also declared that all federal laws in violation of the Second Amendment (which are all of them) would be considered null and void in Alabama.

We need more states to do this.  I hope more will follow.

Republican Senator Paul Sanford of Huntsville confirmed that the legislation was the result of hundreds of emails and calls he received from his constituents in north Alabama. Those constituents were concerned about the threatening manner in which Congress has been hell-bent on gun control legislation. Especially new gun restrictions, including a ban on multiple weapons, such as Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) had put forth.

This is why your phone calls, letters and emails mean so much.  We, the People have to take action.  Everyone in a friendly gun state should let their legislatures know just what they think and feel on the House and the Senate’s violation of our 2nd Amendment rights.  The system can work if people get off their butts and do something.

Now if we could only get Kentucky to pass the same legislation. Hmm, I wonder if we could get Gen.Boykin’s group to focus on Kentucky? 🙂

    • Hawk,

I don’t know about Gen. Boykin, but I wrote our two state reps, both house and senate about this and petitioned them to pass something like Alabama did along with Louisiana.

  4. I have contacted my friends in the Mississippi state legislature. I am informed that there is already a bill getting written similar to Alabama’s.

    • Grey,

Wonderful! I’m glad your state is going to implement their law too. I keep hoping KY will do the same. I contacted my state rep and senator yesterday about this, but they are both dems, so don’t know if anything will get done here. Our Constitution however does have “the right to bear arms”. So if they go along with the King, they would be violating our own state constitution.

  5. Unfortunately I live in corrupt IL – and this bill would not pass here…Chicago corruption at its finest.

Roll Tide! The Traitor Party is going to find out more and more they’ve bitten off more than they can chew messing with our second amendment right to bear arms. Especially in the south and part of the midwest. Shitcago has the toughest gun laws in the country (I believe) and they also have more gun related murders than just about any city in the country. This isn’t about gun control…just about plain ole control period. I sure in the hell wouldn’t want to wonder up into eastern KY trying to take away guns. The feds have tried that with moonshiners and dope growers and many of those revenuers have never been seen or heard from again.
