Revisting FEMA Youth Corps

I just received a comment on the article I posted on the FEMA Youth Corps.

You may want to read the first one in particular by LT Bill Safford.

I want to revisit this with the last 2  comments  made by the following two commentators:

  1. LT Bill Safford said:

    Section 5210 of the “Affordable Healthcare Act” – Obamacare

    ‘‘ (a) ESTABLISHMENT.—
    ‘‘ (1) IN GENERAL.—There shall be in the Service a commissioned Regular Corps and a Ready Reserve Corps for service in time of national emergency.
    ‘‘ (2) REQUIREMENT.—All commissioned officers shall be citizens of the United States and shall be appointed without regard to the civil-service laws and compensated without regard to the Classification Act of 1923, as amended.
    ‘‘ (3) APPOINTMENT.—Commissioned officers of the Ready Reserve Corps shall be appointed by the President and commissioned officers of the Regular Corps shall be appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate.
    ‘‘ (4) ACTIVE DUTY.—Commissioned officers of the Ready Reserve Corps shall at all times be subject to call to active duty by the Surgeon General, including active duty for the purpose of training.
    ‘‘ (5) WARRANT OFFICERS.—Warrant officers may be appointed to the Service for the purpose of providing support to the health and delivery systems maintained by the Service and any warrant officer appointed to the Service shall be considered for purposes of this Act and title 37, United States Code, to be a commissioned officer within the Commissioned Corps of the Service.
    ‘‘ (b) ASSIMILATING RESERVE CORP OFFICERS INTO THE REGULAR CORPS.—Effective on the date of enactment of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, all individuals classified as officers in the Reserve Corps under this section (as such section existed on the day before the date of enactment of such Act) and serving on active duty shall be deemed to be commissioned officers of the Regular Corps.
    ‘‘ (1) PURPOSE.—The purpose of the Ready Reserve Corps is to fulfill the need to have additional Commissioned Corps personnel available on short notice (similar to the uniformed service’s reserve program) to assist regular Commissioned Corps personnel to meet both routine public health and emergency
    response missions.
    ‘‘ (2) USES.—The Ready Reserve Corps shall—
    ‘‘ (A) participate in routine training to meet the general and specific needs of the Commissioned Corps;
    ‘‘ (B) be available and ready for involuntary calls to active duty during national emergencies and public health crises, similar to the uniformed service reserve personnel;
    ‘‘ (C) be available for backfilling critical positions left vacant during deployment of active duty Commissioned Corps members, as well as for deployment to respond to public health emergencies, both foreign and domestic; and
    ‘‘ (D) be available for service assignment in isolated, hardship, and medically underserved communities (as defined in section 799B) to improve access to health services.
    ‘‘ (d) FUNDING.—For the purpose of carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the Commissioned Corps under this section, there are authorized to be appropriated $5,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2010 through 2014 for recruitment and training and $12,500,000 for each of fiscal years 2010 through 2014 for the Ready Reserve Corps.’’.

  2. It is past time that Patriots stood up for this country and took it back from the rats in Washington DC. Send ALL those liberal SOB’s to prison or to their maker for what they are doing to this country.

      I gather they will be after reading some of the duties they are allowed to carry out. Hell; aren’t all of the sumbitches thug agencies armed now??? Damn “food police” are packing heat…

    • Beaux,

      It sounds to me like he’s creating kind of a duplicate National Guard. But only under HIS command and answers only to HIM.

    Interesting comments Pepp. Fed’s keep building up for a disaster (and God knows THEY have created one hell of a disaster) and our constitution gives us the right to bear arms and form militias to prevent “disasters” from getting out of control. We had one hell of a disaster earlier this month…

  3. Everything points to Obama and his handlers have studied Hitler quite well. Lock and load.

  4. Dan Turkewitz is a screen writer and back in 2006 he started working on a political farce that had Maine seceding from the United States and joining Canada. He wrote to 10 Supreme Court justices dealing with the legality of such an event. Judge Scalia actually responded in writing with the following:

    “I am afraid I cannot be of much help with your problem, principally because I cannot imagine that such a question could ever reach the Supreme Court. To begin with, the answer is clear. If there was any constitutional issue resolved by the Civil War, it is that
    there is no right to secede. (Hence, in the Pledge of Allegiance, “one Nation, indivisible.” Secondly, I find it difficult to envision who the parties to this lawsuit might be. Is the State suing the United States for a declaratory judgment? But the United States cannot be sued without its consent, and it has not consented to this sort of suit.”

    I STRONGLY DISAGREE with Judge Scalia on this issue! I believe President Lincoln acted unconstitutionally starting the civil war and forcing the states that seceded to remain in the union. Just because there is a precedent DOES NOT MEAN IT’S CORRECT! Furthermore; this issue does not fall under the jurisdiction of the SCOTUS!!!!

    • Rave,
      you’re right! I don’t know how he arrived at such conclusions. The Declaration Of Independence gives us that right and spells it out quite clearly. “It is our DUTY to throw off a Tyrannical government!”

    • Interesting to be discussing Lincoln re: secession; although not really when it gets right down to it. Not many people get the real story of what happened to the Southern states thanks to the media of the time and the fact that the victor gets to write the history. Does it make anyone feel better to know that the media has been cheating us right along?

  5. you discuss and would really like to have you share some stories/information.
