Wicked Commentary

Dear Pat,

Right now, gun grabbers from around the world are in New York City to draft the UN Small Arms Treaty.

Speaking for the Obama administration, Hillary Clinton has already given her blessing to this global gun grab, calling for “consensus” in order to “avoid loopholes.”

My suspicion is that “loopholes” for Mrs. Clinton include our Second Amendment.

UN bureaucrats are working to “build consensus,” and when they’re sure the treaty includes the demands of petty tyrants worldwide, I fear that Clinton and Obama will do everything in their power to force it through the US Senate sometime before the upcoming election.

The good news is that the National Association for Gun Rights has collected over 975,000 signed Official Firearms Sovereignty Surveys against the UN Small Arms Treaty with tens of thousands of more pouring in each week!

But if you haven’t yet signed, please go ahead and do so by clicking here. It’s vital that your Senators feel pressure to oppose the UN Small Arms Treaty from grassroots gun rights activists like you.

Once you have signed your Official Firearms Sovereignty Survey against the UN Small Arms Treaty (or even if you have signed it before), I would like to ask you to do our Second Amendment rights a small favor.

By forwarding this email to your family and friends, you will be letting them know that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have their sights set on advancing, and passing, the UN Small Arms Treaty.

Click here to forward the Official Firearms Sovereignty Survey right now.

On the page I link to there is a space for a personal message. Please make sure to add a short note so your friends know what the email is about.

This is an important step in growing the grassroots gun rights army opposed to the UN Small Arms Treaty.

I hope I can count on your action today.

Please read my email below to find out just how dangerous the UN Small Arms Treaty is to our gun rights.

Gun-grabbers around the globe believe they have it made.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recently announced the Obama Administration will be working hand-in-glove with the UN to pass a new “Small Arms Treaty.”

Disguised as an “International Arms Control Treaty” to fight against “terrorism,” “insurgency” and “international crime syndicates,” the UN Small Arms Treaty is in fact a massive, GLOBAL gun control scheme.

I’m helping lead the fight to defeat this radical treaty in the United States Senate and I want your help.

Please join me by taking a public stand against this outright assault on our national sovereignty by signing the Official Firearms Sovereignty Survey.

Ultimately, the UN Small Arms Treaty is designed to register, ban and CONFISCATE firearms owned by private citizens like YOU.

So far, the gun-grabbers have successfully kept the exact wording of their new scheme under wraps.

But looking at previous versions of the UN Small Arms Treaty, you and I can get a good idea of what’s likely in the works.

If passed by the UN and ratified by the U.S. Senate, the UN Small Arms Treaty would almost certainly FORCE the U.S. to:

*** Enact tougher licensing requirements, making law-abiding Americans cut through even more bureaucratic red tape just to own a firearm legally;

*** CONFISCATE and DESTROY ALL “unauthorized” civilian firearms (all firearms owned by the government are excluded, of course);

*** BAN the trade, sale and private ownership of ALL semi-automatic weapons;

*** Create an INTERNATIONAL gun registry, setting the stage for full-scale gun CONFISCATION.

I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that this is NOT a fight we can afford to lose.

Ever since its founding 65 years ago, the United Nations has been hell-bent on bringing the United States to its knees.

To the petty dictators and one-world socialists who control the UN, the United States of America isn’t a “shining city on a hill” — it’s an affront to their grand designs for the globe.

These anti-gun globalists know that so long as Americans remain free to make our own decisions without being bossed around by big government bureaucrats, they’ll NEVER be able to seize the worldwide power they crave.

And the UN’s apologists also know the most effective way to finally strip you and me of ALL our freedoms would be to DESTROY our gun rights.

That’s why I was so glad to hear that the National Association for Gun Rights is leading the fight to stop this assault on our Constitution!

The truth is there’s no time to waste.

You and I have to be prepared for this fight to move FAST.

The fact is the last thing the gun-grabbers at the UN and in Washington, D.C. want is for you and me to have time to mobilize gun owners to defeat this radical legislation.

They’ve made that mistake before, and we’ve made them pay, defeating EVERY attempt to ram the UN Small Arms Treaty into law since the mid-1990s.

But now time may not be on our side.

In fact, we’re likely to only have a few weeks to defeat the treaty when they make their move.

And we definitely don’t have a President in the White House who will oppose this treaty.

So our ONE AND ONLY CHANCE to stop the UN Small Arms Treaty is during the ratification process in the U.S. Senate.

As you know, it takes 67 Senate votes to ratify a treaty.

With new pro-gun champions joining me in the Senate, rounding up enough votes to kill this thing should be easy, right?

Unfortunately, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Even with the Republican tidal wave in 2010, there still isn’t a pro-gun majority in the Senate to kill ratification of the treaty.

You know just as well as I do how few Senators are truly “pro-gun.”

Not only that, but many Senators get “queasy” about killing treaties for fear of “embarrassing” the President — especially with “international prestige” at stake.

They look at ratifying treaties much like approving the President’s Supreme Court nominees.

Remember how many Senators turned their back on us and voted to confirm anti-gun Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor?

A dozen more only voted against Sotomayor after receiving massive grassroots pressure from the folks back home.

So if we’re going to defeat the UN Small Arms Treaty gun owners have to turn the heat up on the U.S. Senate now before it’s too late!

Do you believe the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Second Amendment are the supreme law of the land?

Do you believe any attempt by the United Nations to subvert or supersede your Constitutional rights must be opposed?

If you said “Yes” to these questions, please sign the survey the National Association for Gun Rights has prepared for you.

Your survey will put you squarely on the record AGAINST the UN Small Arms Treaty.

For Freedom,

United States Senator

  1. I have already signed the petition. I hope that it does some good, however, my cynical self doubts that it will. They overwhelming call to repeal Obamacare hasn’t done any good. I fear this one will lead to the shedding of a lot of blood and treasure. Once again, Obama is going head on with his agenda to destroy our freedom, the people be damned. The lame duck session, should he lose the election will be an all out retaliation against Americans who don’t want his Socialism……

    • FOH,

You signed and that is the good part. That is all we can do to try to stop the Senators from ratifying this treaty.
The other things you say I agree. We are heading for a bloody up rise at some time or another.

      • Everyone needs to do all that they can do. Signing petitions seems not to do much good but at least maybe someone is listening. We must not think that one election will solve the massive government over reach or that Romney or any other politician is the answer.

        • FOH,

I’m going by the Declaration of Independence: “In every stage of these Oppressions, We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms; Our
repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of the free people.”

So I keep signing the petitions, writing my letters to my reps. Nothing changes. Thus, according to the Declaration of Independence I and others have every right to fight this tyrannical government when it becomes becomes apparent to enough people that there is no other recourse.

So I do not believe any one politician can change what is wrong. I do believe the People, We the People who are the government, must make that happen and make the changes necessary.

If you don’t think signing a petition is any use, don’t sign it. No one is forced to do so. But, I do because I have a “case” by which I can say “the people who are supposed to represent us are not doing so. In that case they are being treasonous, any and all complicit.”

I don’t believe for one minute that Romney, a republican congress and senate can redo what has been done. I do think the people, we the people, will have to fight and we need to make the right choices in selecting our reps. When the State of Ky voted for Rand Paul, a tea party candidate in a state that has 3 democrats to every 1 republican that is sending a huge message. We do NOT like what we see going on.

          • The reasons you gave are the exact reasons I do sign every petition that comes along and communicate my concerns to my Congressman and Senators and I vote. I also talk about it to anyone who will listen and write letters to editors. Believe me I know what is important but that does not keep me from being discouraged by what I see as massive apathy on the part of ‘we the people’.

          • FOH,

I know what you say and how you feel. Read my next article and you’ll get the picture about my and the Hawk’s feelings. We are mad as hell about the apathy of others.
