Wicked Commentary

They say truth is the best disinfectant

No doubt in this election cycle we will be treated to a barrage of claims from the Obama administration boasting its credentials on “the war on terror” – by whatever politically correct term they feel appropriate. But between their backslapping and bragging will remain the increasingly obvious truth that al Qaeda as a force, either politically or as violent extremism, is not quite the weakened (tamed) monster they want to portray it as.

But truth was never sacred to Obama’s regime of propagandists. So that may not matter. However, it was always important for them to portray themselves as kind of surreal truth warriors, who really have our best interests at heart and who will be vindicated in the end, if people will just believe them. Or so their narrative goes. Even if the basis of their strategic agenda is purely politics – as is the motivation for anything he does – they project theirs is a selfless agenda, rather than the self-serving one it really is.

So we will hear their talking points about their accomplishments both in foreign policy and even national security at home. Not like they can talk about economic achievements. This ‘achievement hype’ may be their focus but all around is the mounting fresh evidence that the world, the Mid East, and our country may not be the placid incubator of peace and security they want us to think it is under his watchful rule. (Hey, when you are spending 5-6 hrs on the golf course every other day what do you expect?)

Just as they portended (or pretended) the situation in Libya was a successful short-term effort accomplishing a noble goal – even if they didn’t define one – they will suggest if we just continue their haphazard foreign and domestic path we will see those “seas will stop rising”. As O-zero once again tries to convince us to be as “certain” as he that:

“…generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth.”- (08)

But before it gets to generations from now, he will have to convince quite a lot of people in the present that his direction is showing promise, because all it reveals so far is more chaos and more animosity toward America from all parts abroad, even here at home. While he touts killing some nasty thugs and the encouraging signs of Arab Spring and bringing troops out of Iraq; don’t buy the sales pitch, look at what the condition is telling you loud and clear.

See these reports for more info on the real condition abroad.

Then ask yourself, honestly, again if: “This was the moment – this was the time – when we came together to remake this great nation so that it may always reflect our very best selves, and our highest ideals.” Then remember Solyndra, exploding gas prices, Fast and Furious, EPA-gate, his many condescending lectures, and Holders suits on states.

And when media tries to assuage our skepticism with optimism about his foreign accomplishments, you can look back at the examples.

The tide has shifted all right; but can it take our feckless Comrade in Chief out to sea?  I sure hope so.

Remember this line from Obama? “I think the Muslim Brotherhood is one faction in Egypt. They don’t have majority support in Egypt.” – Hopefully the Obama “faction” will not have a majority support here, because America sure can’t afford it.

    Good post.

Here’s an American Thinker essay on FEMA Camps:

    http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/01/new_nationwide_fema_camps_should_raise_eyebrows.html

    So it begins…

    • Hardnox,

I read the article about the FEMA camps. It’s been the contention among many Americans that these camps are NOT for disasters, natural or otherwise. The proponents of keeping Americans inside these camps for years is suspect since under most natural disasters people gather in communities and get back up and running in a much shorter time periods.
My belief is these camps are for the internment of citizens who are considered “enemies” of the State, our new and growing communist one whereby, like Stalin did, Obama will detain those he has deemed “terrorists” on American soil, such as the “tea party, vets, and other groups who disagree with his policies.

Yes, it begins. And with him declaring yesterday that he will “cut ties” with Congress is ominous of him taking over dictatorship of the country while basically disbanding one of the 3 bodies of the government, the legislative branch. He has essentially made himself the dictator now IMHO. Things are heating up.

  3. I see a lot of variables out there right now. With the possibility that Paul and/or Trump will run as Independents, the fact that once again the GOP has decided who our nominee will be, Congress with a 5% approval rating, a POTUS who acknowledges that he does not need white working class Americans to get re-elected, the dollar being devalued at an alarming rate, and the fact that American citizens can now be detained indefinitely as terror suspects without proof……..and the possibility that OWS will escalate rioting and violence in the streets to the point Obama declares Marshall Law and cancels the 2012 election, he has already said that he cannot work with Congress and he will do what needs to be done without them….guess you could say I am not very optimistic at this point.

    • FOH,

I agree with you. I do not feel optimistic either. The really scary thing over the weekend was once again, while nobody was looking or listening due to New Year’s eve, BO signed that Defense Authorization Act which basically destroys our 5th and 6th amendments in one fell swoop. Now anyone of us can be picked up for no reason whatsoever and detained w/o due process.
Then he announces he’s cutting ties with Congress for 2012 and will issue EOs to get things done. Right, just cut off one body of the government. This is looking bad IMHO!

“Aides say the president will not turn his back on Congress completely in the new year. He is expected to once again push lawmakers to pass elements of his jobs bill that were blocked by Republicans last fall.

If those efforts fail, the White House says, Obama’s re-election year will focus almost exclusively on executive action”

I also read the link about the FEMA camps and am reminded of the 1980’s movie ‘Red Dawn’.

Except in that movie it was the Russians and Cubans that set up the camps.

Great post! There are so many “fact’s” covering us up to our neck to prove how badly Obamastalin sucks; but the media sure isn’t going to help tell the fact’s. Unfortunately, too many voter’s don’t care about the fact’s and will follow the lie’s like sheep right to the voting booths. The Muslin Brotherhood has a strong presence in Egypt and their now a part of the governing body in Libya. Zero’s actions have worked out real well for us in the ME! I personally believe there will be a 2012 election, but keep a close eye on October. That month is notorious for an incumbent to do something really earth shaking to get the voter’s attention off of all their failure’s and fool them into voting stupid again. IMO: Obamastalin will attack Iran with our military in October. He’s already setting up the buffet right now…

Whatever he’ll find a way to wiggle his way out of all the trouble he’s put us in. And, soon enough we won’t even be allowed to talk about it or we get sent off to detainment w/o habeas corpus.

Interpol investigated it but it was all hushed up of course. I don’t doubt for one minute he’s got tons of our tax dollars stashed all over the place, just like Gaddifi had. All dictators seem to be alike.

Column One: Obama’s foreign policy spin

“In recent months, a curious argument has surfaced in favor of US President Barack Obama. His supporters argue that Obama’s foreign policy has been a massive success. If he had as much freedom of action on domestic affairs as he has on foreign affairs, they say, his achievements in all areas would be without peer.”

I would be so happy and less stressed out if I never had to look at his face ever again. He makes me nauseous and I mute the TV when he comes on because I don’t want to hear anymore lectures on how lazy and stupid we Americans are.

Of course the Democraps are spinning O’Vomit’s accomplishments. What else can they do? Even O’Vomit is starting to realize that unless something major occurs, he and the Democraps are toast in November. This is the main reason that he is trying anything to stave off defeat, including ignoring Congress.

Georgia has already stated that O’Vomit must PROVE he is constitutionally eligible for him to even be on the ballot in November in Georgia. Holder is attacking the states that are now requiring voter id (i.e., this stops the voter fraud that O’Vomit must have to be re-elected). I think that these actions by the various states are starting to have an effect.

My sources in the US military have told me that word has been passed to the O’Vomit administration that any type of action before the election (such as the decleration of a national emergency, marshall law, suspention of the elections, etc.) will NOT be tolerated. The effect of this type of action will be a civil war with the military splitting 70% to 30% against the O’Vomit administration. And note that after the “Occupy Wall Street” movement it is now evident that O’Vomit’s “shock troops” (i.e., the OWS’ers and the Unions) couldn’t whip an armed Boy Scout troop from Mississippi much less the national guard units from the states and the millions of old farts like myself (some with military training) who will fight.

So what can O’Vomit do? In my opinion, not much. I believe that the election will approach a “landslide” against O’Vomit. The size of the landslide will be a direct result of who the GOP runs. If the GOP runs a strong conservative, the landslide will be big. The Democraps will lose control of the US Senate and the GOP will retain control of the US House.

But it will take years to correct the O’Vomit Presidency.

Great comment and nothing to add since you seem to have it covered. I read about the Georgia suit this morning. Would it not be great to see him go down as the fraud he is and every piece of his legislation is null and void.
